Because of concerns surrounding COVID-19, offices of the Department of Natural Resources and Energy Development remain closed to the public at this time; however, staff have returned to offices and are available via email or telephone.

Please note : A blue tag is required to purchase the following licences online (Bear, Deer and Game Bird, Moose, Salmon [for landlocked]). You can get a supply of tags at any authorized vendor, Service New Brunswick Service Centre or by calling your local Natural Resources and Energy Development district office.

To meet COVID-19 safety protocols and allow more time for processing, tipping permits for balsam fir, pine and cedar are now available. Tipping season begins October 5, 2020 for pine and cedar, and October 19, 2020  for balsam fir. Contact your local Department of Natural Resources and Energy Development district office with any inquiries pertaining to the purchasing of tipping permits.
